Safe Cig Review

Safe Cig is one of the first electronic cigarette companies to have come to America. It has engendered quite a following since then and has undoubtedly made a name for itself in the electronic cigarette market. Of course, its name indicates the undeniable health benefits associated with electronic cigarettes. But, does its name and status as the originator of American e-cigs make it the best?

Price

Their Original Starter Kit gives first-time customers all they need to get the feel of Safe Cigs. It comes in a classy white box with blue trim and can undoubtedly make you feel part of the Safe Cig family. It comes with 1 battery, a USB charger, a wall charger, and a refill pack filled with up to seven different cartomizers. This comes in at a price of $69.95 which is a bit above the average of other vendors. For instance, V2 Cigs offers almost an identical package that includes three more cartomizers for only $49.99. Even so, if you want to try an American original, then SafeCig is certainly for you. It’s also considerably cheaper than the Green Smoke starter kit that goes for $89.99 and features less content than Safe Cig’s.

Customer Service

One of the most important things when it comes to customer service is availability. SafeCig provides their customers with both an order hotline and a customer service hotline. Both numbers are also featured prominently at the top of their website no matter which page you navigate to. You would think that this would be standard for all electronic cigarette vendors, but you’d be surprised. Vendors like Eluma Cigs and Crown 7 make you sort of search around for a phone number if you want to get a hold of someone. Other vendors, like V2 Cigs and South Beach Smoke, have an option for chatting with a representative. SafeCig does not have a chat option. They do, however, feature a Facebook page and a Twitter account that allow some customers to air their concerns. They generally do a good job of responding to customers, but they also appear to have a lot of complaints in regard to shipping. Many customers seem to leave primarily negative comments on both Facebook and Twitter. Compared to a vendor like Blu Cigs (which seems to have all laudatory customer comments), SafeCig definitely appears to be lacking in quality control.

Even so, they at least appear to be striving for quality customer service, which is something that Crown 7 or South Beach Smoke can’t really say

Warranty Coverage

In this category, SafeCig is comparable with many other electronic cigarette vendors (including V2 Cigs, Green Smoke, Vapor Couture, and Smoke Tip) with their lifetime warranty. It’s certainly hard to beat a lifetime of coverage, and SafeCig actually covers all non-disposable products under their warranty. As long as the defect wasn’t caused by improper use, they will replace the product for free. They also have a 30-day money back guarantee that provides unsatisfied customers with a fail safe  If they don’t like the product, they can send it back within 30 days for a full refund. Virtually every other vendor features something like this.

As mentioned previously, there’s really no surpassing a lifetime of coverage.

Refill Cartridges Selection

SafeCig doe’ not offer bottled E-liquiud, however, they do offer a relatively wide selection of flavors in their refill cartridges. Indeed, there are about 16 in total, most of which will have you feeling like taking a trip around the globe. Their cartridges have such names as Madrid, Madagascar, Brazilian, Colombian  and Macedonian. Most of their offerings are tobacco-based (in that they taste like tobacco) but they do have a menthol cartomizer. Other vendors (like Smoke Tip) have a wide variety of specialty flavors with fruity overtones. Although you might taste a hint of grape or orange here and there with SafeCig, you won’t get that kind of fullness that you’ll find in a strictly orange-flavored vapor. Of course, it’s nice to see that SafeCig offers a wide variety of flavors that hearken back to a classic cigarette taste. With 16, they outpace other brands (V2 Cigs, South Beach Smoke, and EverSmoke) by leaps and bounds.
